Thanksgiving

Friday, we read "A Turkey for Thanksgiving" it is one of my very favorite Thanksgiving books. It is an animal Thanksgiving story and they didn't want to eat the Turkey they really just wanted him to join them for dinner, but that's not what he thought! For table time we made a bead bracelet following a story about the first Thanksgiving. It was a great listening and fine motor activity.
REMINDER- PLA will be closed Wednesday-Friday November 27-29 for Thanksgiving Bresk.

Thanksgiving

We read "The Firefighters' Thanksgiving" and talked about how some people have to work no matter what day it is... Thanksgiving, Christmas... the firefighters in the book were trying to cook a Thanksgiving dinner but calls kept coming in and it never happened, but they did finally get a Thanksgiving dinner thanks to some nice people... the kiddos thought maybe it was from all of the families that they helped that night ❤
Continuing our theme of painting with things other than paintbrushes, today we painted with potato mashers and a few other kitchen utensils. Also... today is PLA's 6th Anniversary! Happy Anniversary to us! I am thankful I get to do what I love and thankful to all of you who support me and believe in the power of PLAY!!
REMINDER- We will be closed November 27-29 for our Thanksgiving break.

Thanksgiving

We read "The Very Stuffed Turkey" and today we painted with yellow fingerpaint and corn on the cob! Our VIP shared his poster, and 60 degree November temperatures called for more playground time
We have added the ability to swing in the motor room, and I'm so excited for all of the kiddos to try it! Thank you, Miss Chelsea and Billy for making my crazy ideas possible!
